Xylarium is housed in the department of Wood Science. Timber discs and other wood specimens of timbers belonging to about 145 species of forest trees from within the state and the country as well as from abroad are exhibited here.
The important species in the collection include teak, rose wood, deodar etc. These facilities are available for identification of unknown wood samples using computer aided anatomical techniques
